To streamline access to vital community services, the County of Volusia has launched a user-friendly mobile application called "Volusia Helps," which provides an up-to-date and centralized resource for residents to contact social service providers, law enforcement, and medical professionals, and seek information about available services within the county.

"Volusia Helps" offers an array of functionalities empowering users to find the services they need. Whether it's aid for individuals with disabilities, assistance during disasters, support for victims of domestic violence, education resources, elderly care, food assistance, healthcare services, housing options, support for infants and children, legal aid, transportation help, utility information, and more, this app has it all covered. With over 40 agencies listed, users can access comprehensive details for each service, including application procedures, fees, languages supported, operational hours, locations, and contact information.

The application, available for free download on both Apple and Android devices, aims to cater to various user preferences. For those who prefer accessing information on desktops, a web-based version of the app is also accessible online.

The development of this app was a collaborative effort between the County of Volusia Community Assistance and IT Divisions, ensuring that the app serves the community's needs effectively.

One of the most remarkable features of the app is its networking capabilities, allowing users to stay updated with the latest information. By integrating GPS location services, the app can determine the user's location and calculate their distance to Volusia County services. However, it's important to note that if the user's device lacks GPS or has it disabled, this feature may be affected.

Feedback from users is highly encouraged and valued by the app's developers. To share thoughts, seek assistance, or report any issues, contact it_support@volusia.org.
