The City of Ormond Beach announced today that it will be delaying its Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration until Labor Day. This decision follows the guidance of CDC Recommendations, and Governor DeSantis to limit numbers at group gatherings to protect those that are most vulnerable.

“We make this decision with heavy hearts as we know this beloved tradition is one that families, the City Commission, and staff alike look forward to every year,” said the city in a release sent out today.

The city goes on to say “Ormond Beach is a town that celebrates together, and this decision better helps assure the participation of our elderly citizens, many local veterans, the medically fragile, and grandparents who might have been left out of earlier celebration dates. We hope that you and your entire family will be able to join us as we LIGHT UP LABOR DAY weekend with a celebration to remember.”
