Ormond Beach announces South Beach Street closure for May 4.

A temporary closure of South Beach Street in Ormond Beach has been scheduled on Thursday, May 4, 2023, starting at 8:30 a.m. and lasting until 3:00 p.m., between Ellsworth Avenue and Riverview Drive to facilitate tree removal and sidewalk repair.  

According to a release, traffic will utilize detours on Ellsworth Avenue, South Ridgewood Avenue, and Riverview Drive. Proper signage will be in place to direct motorists. After the tree removal and sidewalk repair work is complete South Beach Street will reopen to traffic.

Residents and motorists should plan their travel accordingly during this period. The closure will enable workers to carry out the necessary tasks efficiently and ensure the safety of both pedestrians and motorists.
