Suspect sought in armed robbery at Ormond Beach-area gas station.

Detectives with the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office are investigating an armed robbery that occurred late Monday evening at an Ormond Beach-area gas station.

According to a release, just before 10 p.m., a masked suspect entered the Chevron gas station at 1716 Ocean Shore Boulevard brandishing a handgun and demanding money from the clerk on duty. The clerk complied before the suspect, who is believed to be a white male, fled the scene wearing dark clothing, gloves, and a bandana over his face.
