The Tram Road Equestrian Campground is located in the Tiger Bay State Forest (Volusia County), about 10 minutes west of Ormond Beach, FL. This equestrian campground has the following facilities: campsites with a no electricity, a communal pit toilet and pitcher pump (non-potable). Each site has an adjacent horse corral. Recreational activities featured here are: hiking, horseback riding, hunting, picnicking, bird watching, wildlife viewing and photography.




Tiger Bay State Forest is over 27,000 acres of woodlands and wetlands that provide a critical aquifer recharge for the local area. Also found on the forest are two lakes, Indian Lake and Scoggin Lake, and several ponds. Coon Pond is a natural water body, while Rattlesnake Pond, Woody Pond and Ranch Pond are man-made ponds that are available to the public for fishing. Tiger Bay State Forest has a campground, a group camp, equestrian campground, day-use areas and recreation trails that offer a variety of activities such as hiking, biking, horseback riding, camping, picnicking, fishing, boating, birding, wildlife viewing, photography and hunting. Campsites are equipped with picnic table, firering, and grill. There are small corrals adjacent to some of the sites.The sites surround a central equestrian day-use area where round training pen, corrals, picnic area, non-potable water, and a picnic pavilion are located. Groups must request a Special Use Permit and/or reserve the pavilion prior to use.
