According to reports from the Holly Hill Police Department Chief of Police Steve Aldrich,

last night Joshua Shelton and Julianna Rizzo were arrested during a traffic stop in Malibu, California for the New Year’s Day homicide of Justine Blauberg.

Blauberg was the victim of the New Year’s Day shooting at the Charleston Place Apartments in Holly Hill. It was previously reported from witnesses, that Blauberg was shot by the occupants of a White Nissan Altima which was observed rapidly fleeing the scene.

When police arrived, Blauberg was slumped over in his seat bleeding profusely from an obvious gunshot wound that had come through the driver’s side window, which caused Blauberg to crash into multiple vehicles in the parking lot of the complex.

Investigators from the Holly Hill Police Department worked diligently with the Homicide Investigation Unit from the State Attorney’s Office to meticulously investigate this case leading to warrants being issued for the couple’s arrest.

The couple is charged with Principle to 2nd-degree Homicide and is being held in California with “no bond” until they can be extradited to Florida to answer for these charges.

“I’m extremely proud of the extraordinary level of effort and time that our Investigators devoted to solving this senseless murder,” Chief Aldrich said regarding the matter.
