The City of Ormond Beach has announced lane closures near the intersection of East Granada Boulevard and South Halifax Drive, which will occur as of today, Thursday, July 14, and running as needed through Friday, July 15, 2022.

The lane closures are in place to accommodate an emergency work permit for the Florida Department of Transportation for work related to a power outage.

According to a release, East Granada Boulevard will have the East-Bound right lane closed starting at John Anderson Drive. Please use Caution while merging and while around workers. Motorists should also expect some delays. West-Bound Thru-Traffic will not be affected, and the turn lanes onto South Halifax Drive will be closed. South Halifax Drive will be closed to South-Bound Traffic between East Granada Boulevard & Casements Drive.

All turn lanes from E Granada Blvd will be closed and traffic will detour to South Halifax Drive using either Riverside Drive and Casements Drive or Seton Trail and Bosarvey Drive. Traffic from North Halifax Drive will need to turn left or right at E Granada Boulevard and may continue on to South Halifax Drive by using one of the detours.

Carefully follow any signage or flaggers' direction, and traffic will be permitted to resume normal traffic patterns by the early afternoon on Friday when work is expected to be complete.

For more information regarding this closure, contact the City of Ormond Beach Engineering Division at 386-676-3269.
