A Tik Tok video of two cheerleaders bullying a special needs student at Seabreeze High School in Daytona went viral last week.

The School Resource Officer and the Administration Team worked with the parents of the victim, who originally wanted the girls to simply be held accountable for their actions, but now they have changed their decision to press charges against the girls.

At this time the report has been filed with the state attorney, but there is no public record of the charges at this time.

Daytona Beach Police Department, Volusia County Schools, and Seabreeze High School want it known, that the information regarding the incident found on social media is factually incorrect, based on a statement from DBPD. The victim has not reported any injuries or suffering from this incident at this time.

School Administration has ensured they are addressing the behavior with the girls and are in full support of the victim and their family.

According to the DBPD statement, the school and the police department “in no way condones bullying within our schools and we stand united with our community and school administrations in that endeavor.”
