Eerie Quiet from Governor Ron DeSantis, and his Office Raises More Questions and Concern.

Written by Kristen Schmutz - Belden Communications

Over the past week or so it seems as though Governor DeSantis is behind in his duties, which prompted an article last week regarding over thirty Ethic Orders piling up on the Governor’s Desk. While a majority of those orders have been sitting since DeSantis took over from former Governor Rick Scott, more orders have made their way to the pile.

As of today, several emails and phone call attempts have been made by Kristen Schmutz, News Editor for Belden Communications, trying to get answers from the Governor’s office in Tallahassee but no responses or answers have been noted.

The Office of the Governor reached out Thursday to get a few notated questions sent via email and promised they would respond within 24 hours with answers, but no such email was received.

So, what exactly is Governor DeSantis doing? What happened to his gung-ho attitude we saw during his campaign and after he was elected when he admiringly seemed to be a ball of fire getting things done?

It is possible that he is working behind the scenes and out of the eye of the media, but it is a little unsettling to DeSantis’ constituents that the Governor refuses to address these questions and concerns.

It was reported that Governor DeSantis skipped out on the traditional appearance at the Governor’s Luncheon at the Florida State Fair and other events in Tallahassee. It seems that DeSantis’ strategy is avoidance when it comes to the press, but he does owe it to his constituents to know that he is working for them to address their concerns.
