Motorcyclist Dead in Head-on Collision; Ormond Beach Police Vehicle Hit During Investigation.

Early Sunday morning Ormond Beach Police Department responded to a head-on Collision on Ocean Shore Blvd, and Granada.

 

The vehicles involved in the crash was a motorcycle and a pickup truck, unfortunately, the motorcyclist died at the scene. The identity of the motorcyclist has not been released at this time, as police are notifying next-of-kin.

 

The driver of the pickup truck was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

 

During the investigation of the crash, Ocean Shore Boulevard was closed to traffic with an Ormond Beach Police Vehicle blocking traffic. There was an Officer in the vehicle when it was struck by another motorist.

 

The officer was taken to the hospital to be checked out. The on-going investigation is continuing. The story will be updated as more information is released.
