Seabreeze High School Underwent a Brief Lockdown; Volusia Schools Confirms.

Kelly Schulz an employee of Volusia County Schools confirmed a report this afternoon of Seabreeze High School in Daytona Beach was placed under a brief lockdown due to a report of a student having a weapon on campus. 

Multiple accounts of the lockdown spread this afternoon, as Volusia County Sheriff also confirmed the report, but after an investigation and search of the campus, no weapon was found. Schulz claimed the report was fueled by a rumor.

As with any report regarding a weapon on a school campus, lockdown procedures went into effect immediately.

There is no report on how long the campus was under lockdown released at this time.

Update: It has been confirmed the reported 'weapon' was a possible gun threat,  but no gun was found.
