Tragic motorcycle accident claims life in Ormond Beach.

A fatal crash involving a northbound motorcycle and a minivan, which was making a left turn from Sterthaus Drive onto North Nova Road in Ormond Beach, claimed the life of a 60-year-old motorcyclist on Saturday, February 11, 2023. Both vehicles had solo operators and no passengers.

According to reports, the motorcyclist, identified as 60-year-old Rutledge Wayne Boushell of Daytona Beach, collided with the minivan when it pulled out in front of him. Despite being taken to Halifax Health Medical Center, Boushell did not survive his injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. His next of kin have been notified.

The other driver, 88-year-old Jimmy Dean Hogan of Ormond Beach, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
